North Andover, MA - The Boston Lady Whalers 2004 and 2006 Elite teams rolled into Merrimack College this past weekend, hungry to compete to win and excited to skate in front of dozens of NCAA Division I & Division III coaches at the North American Premier Showcase.

Both teams began play on Saturday morning with big wins, and didn't take their feet off of the gas for the duration of the weekend.  The 2006 Elites began play by defeating the Ironbound Selects from New Jersey by a score of 8-0, before capping off the opening day with a 4-1 win over the High Performance Selects.  The 2004 Elite Team skated past Islanders-Fairbarn by a score of 3-0, before cruising past the New York Warriors 9-0 to cap off a perfect opening day.

On Sunday morning, both the 2006 Elites and the 2004 Elites won big, solidifying their spot as the top seed in their respective divisions for the Championship.  The 2006 Elites skated past the Islanders Hockey Club 2005's by a score of 14-1, and the Lady Whalers 2004 Elites defeated Team Carter 4-0.  Both teams faced off against familiar foes for the title, as the 2006 Elites defeated the High Performance Selects by a score of 4-1, and the 2004 Elites defeated Team Carter 4-0, capping off a perfect 8-0 weekend and two championships for our Lady Whalers on the weekend!

Additionally, the North American Premier Showcase highlighted a list of unique seminars for all of our players and parents, allowed our teams to skate in a high-tempo practice on Friday evening which was led by a handful of NCAA Division I coaches, and gave our players exposure to prep, junior, and college coaches over the course of the weekend.

All in all, it was a great weekend of hockey for our Boston Lady Whalers 2006 Elite and 2004 Elite teams, as they capped off terrific spring seasons with the hardware!  Congratulation to our girls, and Coaches Trivigno, Field, and Boyle on a great weekend and season!
